A Homecoming — The Spark
Cousins of the founding family gather from across the world at Kamberg to walk Game Pass Valley together for the first time in decades. After watching a film about the Khoi-San, the paintings, and the Tendele community, the seed of an initiative is planted. Felicity reconnects with Mcetshwa's family, and with the help of Scelo, Emelda, and Junior — the Game Pass Valley Initiative is conceived.

Official Registration
Game Pass Valley Initiative is formally registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) as a Non Profit Company — NPC 2026/462448/08. With legal standing and a clear mandate to uplift the Tendele community, preserve the valley's cultural legacy, and host International Workcamps in partnership with SAVWA, the initiative's work begins in earnest.

Clean water storage tanks are successfully installed at Tendele village — the initiative's first completed infrastructure project. For the first time, families in the community have reliable, clean water on their doorstep. A small act with an enormous impact on daily life.

Guide Training Programme Launched
The inaugural cohort of Tendele community members begins formal training as cultural and nature guides. The programme covers San rock art interpretation, trail safety, first aid, and environmental education — equipping local residents with qualifications to lead authentic guided experiences through the valley and beyond.

Rock Art Monitoring & Trail Stewardship
In partnership with heritage bodies, the initiative conducts regular monitoring of the Game Pass Shelter rock art panels, trail maintenance through the valley corridor, and restoration of indigenous vegetation. This ongoing work ensures the 3,000-year-old paintings and their surrounding environment are protected for generations to come.
International Workcamps — SAVWA Partnership
In partnership with the South African Voluntary Workcamp Association (SAVWA), GPVI will host international volunteers to work alongside the Tendele community on infrastructure, conservation, and cultural projects. Volunteers from around the world bring skills, energy, and resources — while forming meaningful cross-cultural connections with the community and the valley.
